Mouse Racing is an important and personal event for my family. It occurs twice a year, once in January
and once in July. It is a bit of fun for us and the mice. Mice are only separated into age; males can compete against females,
rexes against longhairs and manx against tailed. This is supervised properly, especially when males and around females. Below
is an outline of the grades.
Junior (J) Grade
6 weeks –
10 weeks (2 months)
Teenage (T) Grade
2 months (11 weeks)
– 4 months (18 weeks)
Prime (P) Grade
4 months –
10 months
Senior (S) Grade
10 months +
*Mice must be over 5 weeks to compete
Pregnant mice are unable to compete
